FARMINGTON — Senior University of Maine at Farmington Art & Design students are presenting “Beyond the Frame: Art & Design Senior Exhibition”. The exhibit is featured in the Emery Community Arts Center Gallery from April 9 to May 9. An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 9. It is free and open to the public.
Senior Art & Design majors Lillian Aldrich, Justin Boulay, Benjamin Branch, Connor Haskell, Jadyn Jacobs, Avery Joyce, Kai Z. McCormick, Bobbie Pirruccello and Hannah Wilbur and psychology major Bobbi Smalley present their capstone art exhibition “Beyond the Frame”.
This show includes painting and mixed media, photography, collage, video, digital media and illustrated books. It engages themes of identity and belonging, memory and time, personal narratives, documentary storytelling, wildlife studies and more.
The exhibition will be on view in Emery Community Arts Center gallery. Gallery hours are noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
