We broke the news Tuesday that the Bangor Mall is being sold to a “local buyer,” but not much else is known about the sale or what will happen to the deteriorating institution.
State Sen. Joe Baldacci told the Bangor Daily News that the group of investors buying the property — including a business man with “deep local roots” and a family that goes back generations in Bangor — is committed to making it more viable as a commercial space and public area.
