Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are officially a family of three following the birth of their first baby.
“We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments,” Steinfeld, 29, wrote in her newsletter on Thursday, April 2, after confirming that she welcomed a girl. “Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”
Steinfeld and Allen, 29, announced in December 2025 that they were expecting baby No. 1.

In the accompanying clip, Steinfeld debuted her baby bump while wearing a sweatshirt with the word “mother” on it.
Steinfeld and Allen also shared their pregnancy news via Instagram at the time. In their joint video post, he kissed her bare belly, and the two held hands as they looked at a tiny snowman.

Days later, Allen expressed his gratitude for all of the well-wishes that followed his and Steinfeld’s public announcement.
“I’ve known for a long time, right? So it’s not that crazy to me,” he told reporters of the happy news in December 2025. “But yeah, I mean, obviously the love that I’ve received from teammates and friends, it’s a really cool special moment in my life. And my wife’s life.”
Later that month, Allen told the Associated Press that he was “absolutely overjoyed” about his and Steinfeld’s little one on the way.
In January, Steinfeld made her first public appearance since sharing her pregnancy with the world. She walked the red carpet solo at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, glowing in a Prada peach silk chiffon dress with silver sequined embroidery as she cradled her baby bump.

In an Instagram post showing off her awards show ensemble, Steinfeld referred to the Golden Globes as “a night out with my newest plus one,” sweetly referencing her impending arrival.
Allen — who was unable to attend the ceremony due to his Buffalo Bills playoff schedule — proudly supported Steinfeld on social media at the time, posting a photo of her red carpet look via his Instagram Story with drooling and heart-eyes emojis.
Steinfeld and Allen have been linked since May 2023. After announcing their engagement in November 2024, Us Weekly exclusively revealed that the duo were already planning for their future family ahead of their May 2025 wedding.
“They both are excited about starting a family and want that in the next few years,” a source told Us in March 2025. “They both share the same values when it comes to parenting and having kids.”
Later that year, Steinfeld hinted at her pregnancy the month before sharing the news, confirming in a November 2025 interview with Bustle that she “of course” wanted to have kids with Allen.
