The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum Jen Shah is a free woman.

After serving less than three years of her six-and-a-half-year sentence for her role in a long-running nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme, the Bravo star was released from the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, on December 10, 2025.

“Jen Shah has demonstrated strength, accountability and resilience throughout this process,” Shah’s attorney, Candace N. Robinson (of CNR Law), told People after her release. “Today represents not only a transition, but the beginning of a new chapter for her.”

After being released from prison, Jen was reunited with her husband, Sharrieff Shah, and her two adult sons, Sharrieff Jr. and Omar.

Real Housewives’ Legal Troubles Through the Years

“We continue to express our sincerest gratitude to the BOP for Jen’s early release,” Jen’s manager, Chris Giovanni, said to People. “Jen Shah remains thankful for the love and prayers from her supporters. Jen is focused on reuniting with her family and friends, while embarking on this new journey of redemption to make everything right.”

How Will Jen Shah Serve the Remainder of Her Prison Sentence?

According to Bureau of Prisons policy, Jen could have either been released to her home or transferred to a halfway house to complete the remaining portion of her sentence under community confinement supervision.

While Jen reported to a halfway house on December 10, 2025, People reported that it was just for an orientation program. She will be at home for the remainder of her time.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Jen was captured arriving at Salt Lake City International Airport on December 10, 2025, after flying home on a commercial flight from Texas.

Several friends and family members were seen greeting the reality star with balloons, flowers and hugs.

ABC’s Nightline also obtained a video of Jen reuniting with her husband and two kids after being released.

Will Jen Shah Be Pardoned?

After Donald Trump previously pardoned reality stars Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, the 47th president of the United States has not publicly spoken out about Jen’s case.

As a result, there is no indication that Jen is receiving a presidential pardon.

Will Jen Shah Return to ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’?

Back in September 2025, a Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen audience member captured host Andy Cohen participating in a Q&A with fans.

When one fan asked if there was any chance Jen could come back to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Cohen responded, “Jen Shah — I never want to see again.”

Cohen showed no signs of changing his mind during a December 2025 episode of his SiriusXM radio show.

“She’s not coming back to RHOSLC,” he said. “I don’t know that I can see Bravo working with her again. Can we put a period at the end of the sentence?”

Jen Speaks Out After Prison Release

Jen’s first interview after her prison release was published in April 2026. She told People that she’s focused on repenting for her crimes.

“I’m sorry,” she said. “I’m accepting responsibility, and I’ve made it my mission to make sure that people are paid back.”

The former reality star added, “I understand that people have their opinions based on what they saw. But I would hope they would give me the grace to at least hear me and understand that I’m more than just the headline.”

Jen’s Real Housewives of Salt Lake City costars have yet to comment on her prison release.
