Amanda Batula said that both West Wilson and Jesse Solomon held a special place in her heart after they stood up for her against Kyle Cooke on Summer House, following the pair’s explosive fight and before Amanda eventually confirmed her romance with West.
“I was so proud of West,” Jesse, 32, told Amanda, 34, on the Tuesday, March 31, episode of the Bravo series, confirming that West, 31, confronted Kyle, 43, after he called Amanda a “f***ing dumbass bitch” the night before.
Jesse revealed that West “literally told Kyle off,” which made Amanda smile.
“I love you guys,” Amanda replied. “You guys are the best and that’s why I keep coming back.”
‘Summer House’ Fans Questioned Amanda and West’s Dynamic Before Romance
She joked, “I don’t come back for him,” referring to her then-husband Kyle. (Kyle and Amanda announced their split in January after four years of marriage, months after they filmed the season in summer 2025.)
The episode aired shortly after Amanda and West confirmed their friendship had turned into something more via a Tuesday social media announcement.
“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected,” they wrote. “Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
During the Tuesday episode, West and Jesse pulled Kyle aside during his old-man birthday party to make sure he knew he was out of line the night prior when he yelled, “F*** you” at Amanda while she was hanging out with the group by the pool and not paying attention to him.

“This was the only time where I thought objectively, you were being unnecessary because nothing happened. That was just black and white, not the right thing,” West told Kyle about the incident. “But that cannot be the correct way for you to get s*** off your chest. That was bad.”
Kyle admitted he was “falling apart” and West told him that’s all he needed to tell Amanda, after he apologized for calling her names.
“Say, ‘I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. I should not talk to you like that,’” West responded, backing Amanda once again.
Kyle then confessed, “I get a little f***ing selfish when she has fun with everyone else but me,” hinting that Amanda’s dynamic with their housemates wasn’t OK with him.
West Wilson Weighed in on Kyle and Amanda’s Marriage 2 Months Before Romance
“I hear you. We know you’re frustrated. We have your back and we’re your friends. Talk to us and we will talk to you. Just don’t take it out on Amanda,” West said as Jesse agreed. “Just say sorry, please. Say sorry and then just go to bed. Don’t justify it to her. Try that.”
Kyle noted he would apologize — which he did before the episode came to an end — but told the cameras that it didn’t feel like West and Jesse fully had his back.
“I know they mean well. But if they really meant well they’d also maybe say something to Amanda, like, ‘Hey, while you’re giving us all the attention and we’re flirting and we’re playing games,’ maybe, just maybe, at one point in the last point they could have been like, ‘Just give your husband a little attention,’” Kyle said in a confessional.
West and Jesse’s support of Amanda came prior to her split from Kyle in January. Two months later, West and Amanda sparked romance rumors after they were seen spending time together.
What the ‘Summer House’ Cast Did — And Didn’t — Know About Amanda and West
After weeks of speculation, Amanda and West confirmed on Tuesday that they are exploring a romantic relationship. They revealed via an Instagram Story statement that their “feelings evolved” after being close friends for years.
The relationship came as a surprise to fans because of bro-code and girl-code, which were arguably both broken. In addition to West being friends with Amanda’s estranged husband, Kyle, he previously dated her longtime BFF Ciara Miller.
“Kyle always knew Amanda would eventually move on, but he never imagined it would be with a castmate or anyone within their own circle,” a source exclusively told Us on Tuesday. “The idea of her dating a castmate is something he’s really struggled to wrap his head around.”
A separate insider told Us that Ciara, 30, is also struggling with the news. “Ciara is heartbroken by this,” the source shared. “She and Amanda were very close, and she feels more betrayed than ever by both of them.”
Summer House airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
