New photos of Tiger Woods have emerged after the legendary golfer’s DUI arrest and subsequent release from jail.

The pictures, released on Friday, March 27, show Woods looking disheveled in the passenger seat of a black SUV. He’s wearing the same blue polo shirt that was seen in his mug shot, which was also released on Friday.

Woods, 50, was arrested on Friday afternoon, just after 2 p.m. ET, after he was involved in a rollover car accident in Jupiter Island, Florida. The 15-time major champion was charged with DUI, property damage and refusal to submit a lawful test after he refused a urinalysis test when authorities arrived at the scene of the accident.

He did complete a breathalyzer test which resulted in triple zeros, suggesting Woods was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

Police Reveal What Caused Tiger Woods’ Rollover Car Crash in Florida

Woods spent roughly eight hours at Martin County Jail — per Florida statute — and was released around 11 p.m. ET on Friday.

The accident also involved a pickup truck pulling a pressure cleaner trailer, whose driver was allegedly trying to get to the side of the road after noticing Woods’ Land Rover traveling at “high speeds.”

“The driver of [the pickup truck] looked in his mirror and saw a dark colored Land Rover overtaking him at high speeds,” Sheriff John Budensiek claimed in a press conference on Friday. “He tried to edge off to the side of the road, but this is a small two-lane road and there was no shoulder for this pressure cleaner gentleman to get off the side of the road. As he was trying to move to the side of the road, the Land Rover overtook him at the last minute, swerved to avoid a collision, but clipped the back end of the trailer.”

No injuries were reported, and Woods reportedly climbed out of the overturned vehicle unharmed. Authorities on scene believed Woods might be impaired after observing him and subsequently called DUI investigators to the scene.

Officers reportedly suspected Woods was under the influence of medications and drugs, not alcohol.

“Mr. Woods did exemplify signs of impairment. They did several tests. He did explain the injuries and the surgeries that he had. We did take that into account,” Marin County Police said at a press conference on Friday, referring to the October 2025 procedure Woods underwent to repair a collapsed lumbar disc.

“The investigation started and initially right off the top, it did appear that the driver of the Land Rover might be impaired,” said Budensiek. “And at that point, the chief of Jupiter Island Police Department called me from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and asked for our assistance.

He continued, “We know we arrested a high profile figure … but it doesn’t matter who you are. If you break the law, we’re going to follow the law. That’s a really easy path to take.”

Before the accident and arrest, Woods was on the precipice of a professional comeback as questions were swirling about whether or not he will be competing in the upcoming Masters tournament in April. He has not said whether or not he’s planning to compete.

Woods was involved in another single-car crash back in 2021, which resulted in a shattered ankle and two leg features. He was also arrested under suspicion of DUI in 2017 during a traffic stop in Florida.
