Sydney Sweeney shared her gratitude for the United States Armed Forces amid her brother Trent Sweeney’s own military career.
“Receiving calls from my bro always makes me happy when he’s deployed,” Sydney, 28, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, March 24, per Fox News. “Thinking of all our boys and girls overseas and sending my love!”
She added, “Thank you for your service :).”
The Euphoria actress shared a since-expired screenshot of a FaceTime call between herself and Trent, in which he wore a camouflage uniform.

Trent serves in the U.S. Air Force, though it is not clear where or when he was deployed.
Sydney and Trent grew up with their family in Washington, far from the actress’ new Hollywood life.
“When I go home, my family doesn’t understand me or the world I’m in anymore,” Sweeney told British GQ in a 2022 interview. “But then, in this industry, my home and the place that grounds me is so vastly different to how people live there. I’m in this in-between place where I feel like neither side understands me.”
Sydney’s rural upbringing has sparked fan questions about her political ideologies, which she seldom publicizes.
“I’ve never been here to talk about politics. I’ve always been here to make art, so this is just not a conversation I want to be at the forefront of,” Sydney told Cosmopolitan in a cover story published in January. “I think because of that, people want to take it even further and use me as their own pawn. But it’s somebody else assigning something to me, and I can’t control that.”

Sydney further stated that, as an actress, she’s “not here to speak on politics.”
“I’m not a political person. I’m in the arts,” she told the outlet. “[Politics is] not an area I’ve ever even imagined getting into. It’s not why I became who I am. I became an actor because I like to tell stories, but I don’t believe in hate in any form. I believe we should all love each other and have respect and understanding for one another.”
According to Sydney, she has “always led with love” regardless of any differences.
“I’ve always believed that love is love in every single form. You should be kind to whoever you meet,” Sydney stated. “I remember on the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, I watched Brad Pitt sit and hang out with the [transportation] department. I absolutely loved that, and I was like, ‘Yeah, you have to respect everybody in your life.’”
