New police bodycam footage may shine a light on Taylor Frankie Paul’s state of mind at the time of her 2023 arrest.
In footage released by the Herriman Police Department and obtained by Us Weekly, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star was visibly crying as she tried to catch her breath while talking to cops.
“What did I do wrong?” Taylor, 31, asked an officer in the video, which was captured in February 2023. “Help me to know so I can do better.”
While chatting with police, Taylor said she was emotionally hurt because of her divorce from Tate Paul. The exes welcomed their daughter, Indy, in August 2017. The pair’s second baby, son Ocean, arrived in June 2020.

“I’m just so hurt emotionally,” she said. “I’m just really hurting.”
In a separate clip obtained by Us, police chatted with Dakota Mortensen, who also confirmed his then-girlfriend had “been through a lot.”

“She’s just going through a lot of pain right now,” he told an officer in bodycam footage. “She just got a divorce. They just separated with the two kids.”
Police arrested Taylor after the incident on February 17, 2023, and she was charged with assault, criminal mischief and domestic violence in the presence of a child. The reality star pleaded guilty to an aggravated assault charge in August 2025, and the other charges were dismissed with prejudice.
Taylor is still on probation until August for the altercation, but she has since completed all treatment and classes.

In the newly released bodycam footage, Taylor shared her perspective of what allegedly went down between her and Dakota, 33, before police were called.
“He pushed me in the garage, it’s fine I don’t give a f***,” she claimed. “I just want to move on. I don’t give a f*** about him. I just want to move on. I don’t care. I pushed him, I hit him, he pushed me.”
“I just want him out,” Taylor continued. “I’m sorry, I just want my dad!”
Taylor’s 2023 arrest has made headlines once again after TMZ released footage of the incident. Once the video was made public, ABC announced that it would not be airing her season of The Bachelorette.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney Entertainment spokesperson told Us in a statement on March 19.

In response to ABC’s decision, Taylor’s team released a statement saying the reality star was “exploring all of her options, seeking support and preparing to own and share her story.”
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” her rep said in a statement to Us. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
