Savannah Guthrie opened up about how she’s leaned on her faith amid the ongoing search for her mom, Nancy Guthrie.

“My faith is strong and resolute,” Savannah, 54, said during her sit-down interview with Hoda Kotb on the Thursday, March 26, episode of the Today show. “But I early on felt — and I heard for one of the very few times in my life — I did hear God speak to me.”

Savannah elaborated on the emotional moment, adding, “As I said to myself, ‘I can handle anything, God. I can handle anything, I just can’t handle not knowing. I have to know.’ I heard a voice and it said, ‘You do know where she is — she’s with me.’”

She concluded: “So whether she’s on this earth still or whether she is in heaven, I know where she is, I know who she’s with. But we need to know.”

Inside Savannah Guthrie’s Unbreakable Bond With Her Sister Annie Guthrie

Nancy, 84, was reported missing in Arizona on February 1. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos later noted that there were “concerning circumstances” found in Nancy’s home.

“She’s very alert, she’s of good, sound mind,” he told reporters, adding that Nancy is “not in good” physical health. “I hope we find her safe and sound, but we can’t ignore what’s in front of us.”

Savannah, meanwhile, has been absent from Today amid her mother’s disappearance. As the search for Nancy reached 50 days, Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Camron, shared a statement pleading for her safe return.

“We are deeply grateful for the outpouring from neighbors, friends and the people of Tucson. We are all family now,” the family said on Saturday, March 21. “We continue to believe it’s Tucsonians, and the greater Southern Arizona community, that hold the key to finding resolution in this case. Someone knows something.”

They noted that someone within the community may have “information that they do not even realize is significant.” They asked the community to “search their memories” for any details that stand out.

“We desperately ask this community for renewed attention to our mom’s case – please consult camera footage, journal notes, text messages, observations or conversations that in retrospect may hold significance,” their statement continued. “No detail is too small. It may be the key.”

The statement continued: “We cannot grieve; we can only ache and wonder. Our focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home. We want to celebrate her beautiful and courageous life but we cannot do that until she is brought to a final place of rest. Thank you for continuing to pray without ceasing.”

‘Today’ Anchor Savannah Guthrie’s Family Guide: Meet Mom Nancy and More

Savannah’s family has been vocal about their hopes that someone knows where Nancy is. In February, they announced that the reward for Nancy’s return was raised to $1 million.

“She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother, Pierce, and with our daddy. If this is what is to be, then we will accept it,” Savannah said at the time. “But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home.”

In her Today tell-all, Savannah got emotional about what might have caused Nancy’s disappearance, breaking down in tears while suspecting her fame could be to blame.

“I said [to my brother], ‘Do you think [it was] because of me?’ And he said, ‘I’m sorry, sweetie, but yeah, maybe,’” she said. “But I knew that. I hope not. I mean, we still don’t know. Honestly, we don’t know anything. So, I don’t know that it’s because she’s my mom and somebody thought, ‘Oh, that girl, that lady has money, we can make a quick buck.’ That would make sense, but we don’t know.”
