All four ensembles share the stage for grand finale
BANGOR – The Bangor Symphony Youth Orchestras will present the spring concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 29 in Peakes Auditorium at Bangor High School. This concert will spotlight exceptionally talented, emerging musicians who have poured immense time and passion into mastering their craft.
Showcased at this performance are four ensembles: Concertino Strings conducted by Anna Clement, Prelude String Orchestra conducted by Sascha Lorimer, Wind Ensemble conducted by Ben David Richmond and the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sascha Lorimer. The concert will culminate with a finale performance of Handel’s “La Rejouissance” played by all ensembles combined.
The BSYO features young musicians from all over the greater Bangor area. The program empowers musicians through expert instruction and meaningful performance opportunities. Students develop a strong commitment to their art and gain valuable ensemble experience. In building skill and confidence, students cultivate a lasting appreciation for orchestral music that will inspire generations to come.
Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. A suggested donation of $5 per ticket is encouraged upon admission. We will be creating a “Symphony of Cereal” for the Bangor YMCA Food Pantry at this concert.
