I think Gov. Janet Mills has served us well, especially in contrast to her Floridian predecessor, who’s currently hoping to persuade the voters of Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.
But what I perceive as her attack ad against Graham Platner reeks to me of D.C. snarkiness, crafted by consultants paid by Sen. Chuck Schumer, who I believe have failed the Democratic Party and our republic.
Graham Platner has acknowledged his errors over a decade ago, in posts he made during a period when he said he was suffering from PTSD, after four combat tours with the Marines and Army.
What he has not done, unlike Mills, is frequently opposed organized labor, among her other faults.
I urge curious readers to actually look into the platforms and the funders and supporters of Graham, in contrast to Mills.
If you want a fighter for universal healthcare, protecting union organizing for all, electing the first commercial fisherman in the U.S. Senate, I urge you to vote for Graham! Unaffiliated voters can vote on June 9 in the Democratic primary.
