This month’s picks include a live-action cartoon, a harrowing alternate world saga and a documentary that may make you feel like a kid again.
3 New Netflix Shows to Watch in March 2026, Ranked by IMDb Rating
‘One Piece’ (2023 – Present)
It may not shock you to hear that One Piece is based on a wildly popular manga by Eiichiro Oda. But you may be surprised to learn that the One Piece anime adaptation has surpassed 1,550 episodes since it debuted in 1999, and it’s still going! Netflix’s live-action One Piece probably won’t last anywhere near as long as the anime, but critics and audiences are eating it up like it’s a tasty selection of Devil Fruit.
Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) was given superhuman stretching powers when he ate the Devil Fruit, and it’s all part of his dream to become the next King of the Pirates. In season 1, Luffy brought together Nami (Emily Rudd), Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Usopp (Jacob Romero Gibson) and more as his Straw Hat Pirates. Season 2 introduces a new crew member, Tony Tony Chopper (Mikaela Hoover), and gives the Straw Hats new enemies and deadly obstacles to overcome as their search for the One Piece treasure continues.
One Piece is streaming on Netflix.
‘The Man in the High Castle’ (2015 – 2019)
The identity of The Man in the High Castle is revealed during the course of the show, but his real name is less important than what he represents. In this adaptation of Philip K. Dick‘s alternative history novel, the Man in the High Castle is the source of newsreels that show off alternate worlds where the Allies defeated Nazi Germany and Japan during World War II.

It takes a tragedy for Juliana to wake from her stupor, but seeing the newsreels inspires her to fight for a better world. Meanwhile, on the East Coast, American collaborator John Smith (Rufus Sewell) has been given real power by the Nazis, but his hold over his territory is challenged by a resistance movement and a struggle for control within Germany itself.

‘The Dinosaurs’ (2026)
Steven Spielberg‘s Jurassic Park went a long way towards shaping a generation’s views about dinosaurs. Spielberg is revisiting his fascination with these extinct creatures as a producer of The Dinosaurs, a new documentary miniseries. Morgan Freeman narrates this computer-animated show, which aims to retell the entire history of dinosaurs as we understand it.
This show was envisioned as a spiritual successor to Life on Our Planet, and it takes its subject matter seriously. Through the lens of this series, you’ll witness the rise of the dinosaurs and their continued existence until the extinction-level event that changed the course of history.
