The body of a Brunswick woman who was last reported seen in January was found Saturday morning by searchers.
Rebecca Dorr, 56 was found Saturday morning by members of the Maine Warden Service and Maine Association for Search and Rescue in a wooded area near some walking trails, according to Mark Latti, spokesman for the Maine Warden Service. He said her death is not considered to be suspicious.
Rebecca Dorr was reported missing from her Maine Street home on Sunday, Jan. 25, Latti said. The warden service, Brunswick Police Department, Maine Search and Rescue Dogs and Maine Association for Search and Rescue conducted an extensive search and investigation for her, he said.
“The initial search efforts were complicated by deep snow which fell on the night that she went missing,” Latti said.
Over the ensuing months, the Brunswick Police Department continued to follow up on information they received about Dorr.
“As the snow melted and search conditions improved, searches resumed in wooded areas and trails around Brunswick,” Latti said.
Dorr previously went missing in August and was found alive in a “very remote wooded area,” police said at the time.
