When it comes to figuring out what to wear on vacation, I’d like to brag a little and say that I have packing down to a science. No matter where I’m going, I want my vacation wardrobe to be full of pieces that are stylish, comfortable and functional, and I prefer versatile basics over flashy trends I’ll never put on again. The result: a suitcase full of classic pieces I can use for so many different outfits.

This is especially true for warm weather trips when I know I don’t want to look as hot and sweaty as I might feel in my photos. I have a Florida trip coming up in a few weeks, and my suitcase is going to be full of items I already own and love, as well as some new pieces I can’t wait to wear. If you’re also trying to figure out what to pack for a trip, scroll on to find some go-to options you need to add to your cart. Even better? They start at just $15.

Stylish and Comfy Basics for a Warm-Weather Vacation

1. My Favorite: I own these linen-blend shorts in several different colors because I find them so much more lightweight and relaxed than denim shorts. They’re breezy, easy to pack and can easily be dressed up or down.

2. Runner-Up: This mini tank dress is a go-to option for me when I want to look cute and put-together, but still feel comfortable. The built-in shorts make it more functional and I love the fact that there is a seamed-in bra that actually feels supportive.

3. Lightweight Layer: Right on trend and perfect to throw on as an easy layering piece, this short sleeve cardigan is one of my favorite Amazon purchases as of late. You can wear it buttoned up or open and it comes in so many different colors.

4. Feels Like PJs: I’m a huge fan of the boxer short trend and these are my favorite pair because of the cute ruffle along the hem. They’re so lightweight and comfortable, and I can wear them all day long.

5. Go-To Tank: I have this cropped tank top in at least four different colors because it’s just that good. The stretchy but compressive fit is flattering and I can easily dress this up or down.

6. Easy Breezy Set: I always travel with at least one matching set for the days I don’t have time to put any effort into my outfit. This one is great for warm weather trips because it’s made of breathable cotton and has a comfy, relaxed fit.

7. Everyday Dress: This mini denim dress is going to be an essential this spring and summer. I love the way the waist cinches in to show off my shape and the soft linen blend makes it so comfortable.

8. Pop of Color: This athleisure dress is a staple for me when I’m going on a trip where I know I’ll be doing a lot of walking. It looks cute but is built for being on the move, and I think the bright color options are so fun.

9. Pool Time: I get compliments on this crochet cover-up every single time I wear it — which is very often. It offers some coverage from the sun but never feels too hot, and I love how it’s so easy to throw on over your suit.

10. Flexible Denim: Perfect for lots of walking or sightseeing, these denim shorts have an elastic waist and relaxed fit. I love how they have the look of classic denim but with so much more flexibility.

11. Classic and Chic: No joke – I won’t travel anywhere without this linen button-down. It’s the perfect lightweight layer and looks much more elevated than a cardigan or hoodie. I pair this with shorts, dresses and even wear it as a swimsuit cover-up.

12. Beach-To-Lunch: This striped set is coming with me on my Florida trip this spring. I love how it can be worn as a swimsuit cover-up but can also be dressed up with the right accessories. Plus, each piece looks just as good styled separately.

13. Warm Weather Approved: A wide-leg fit and elastic waistband make these linen pants my spring and summer essential. I love how effortlessly chic they look even though they feel like sweatpants.

14. Go-To Bag: This crossbody bag comes on every trip with me because it can fit a lot of stuff but is still small enough so that it never feels like it’s in my way. It’s elevated and stylish, and you can’t beat the budget-friendly price point.

15. Made for Walking: Practical but cute, these white sneakers never get old for me. Flexible outsoles and plenty of cushioning make these easy to wear for hours, even when I’m walking around a lot, and they’re a classic that goes with anything.

16. Elevated Tank: I like to have at least one top that feels more sophisticated, and this button-down tank fits that description. It’s very on-trend and I think it looks great with linen pants or a maxi skirt.

17. Little White Tee: It might sound overly simple, but this white t-shirt is something I can’t travel without. It’s classic and so versatile, and this one has a slimmer fit that just gets softer with each wear.
