Chuck Norris has reportedly been hospitalized.

TMZ broke the news on Thursday, March 19, that Norris, 86, was allegedly admitted to a local hospital in Hawaii after an undisclosed medical emergency. The outlet further reported that Norris was in “good spirits” amid his health battle. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.

Nearly two weeks earlier, Norris celebrated his 86th birthday in equally high spirits.

“I don’t age. I level up. I’m 86 today!” he wrote via Instagram on March 10, sharing boxing training footage of himself. “Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young. I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love.”

He continued at the time, “Thank you all for being the best fans in the world. Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know.”

Boxing is just one of the ways that the action star had been keeping in shape through the years.

“Here’s a photo I took several months ago,” Norris captioned a gym selfie in November 2025. “Progress isn’t measured by perfection, but by the courage to keep going. I’m still setting goals, pushing forward and choosing discipline over comfort. No matter your age, keep striving for the best version of yourself.”

Norris rose to fame as a fighter, making his big-screen debut in 1969’s The Wrecking Crew. Norris often blended his martial arts and acting skills, costarring with Bruce Lee in 1972’s The Way of the Dragon.

“The truth is Lee was a formidable opponent with a chiseled physique and technique. I totally enjoyed sparring and just spending time with him,” Norris once told Black Belt Magazine. “He was as charismatic and friendly in the ring and at home as he was on film. His confidence and wit were dazzling, and sometimes even debilitating to others.”

The Delta Force star further praised Lee’s “open mind,” adding to the outlet, “He never believed in only one martial arts style or that one was superior. He believed that everything had strengths and weaknesses and that we should find the strengths in each method.”

Norris also famously starred on Walker, Texas Ranger from 1993 to 2001.

“[Fans] might not know I actually recorded the opening song for my television series Walker, Texas Ranger,” Norris exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2025. “I wanted Randy Travis to sing the theme song, ‘The Eyes of a Ranger,’ but CBS insisted that I had to sing it.”

According to Norris, it took two days to record the series jingle.

“CBS was so excited that they booked me at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, Texas, on New Year’s Eve to perform it live,” Norris recalled. “There is an old saying that every singer wants to act and every actor wants to sing. Famous last words, because I’ve never been so nervous in my life.”
