WALDO — University of Maine Cooperative Extension is hosting the Midcoast Sustainable Agriculture Program Annual Meeting from 4-6:30 p.m. on March 25. Commercial farmers in Waldo, Knox and Lincoln counties are invited to attend virtually or in-person at the Waldo County Cooperative Extension office at 992 Waterville Road in Waldo.
The Midcoast Sustainable Agriculture Committee is a volunteer advisory group tasked with gathering, prioritizing and communicating the ongoing educational and technical needs of commercial agricultural producers in the region. The work of the committee informs efforts by UMaine Extension to offer on-farm technical support and consultation to assist with crop, soil and integrated pest management planning, as well as farm business planning.
