A Pittsfield man was arrested last week for allegedly sexually abusing a child.
Galen Spencer, 64, has been charged with unlawful sexual contact with a minor under the age of 12 and visual sexual aggression against a child, according to the Fairfield Police Department.
Spencer allegedly committed the crime, which police learned about on Feb. 11, in Fairfield.
He was arrested Friday afternoon at his Pittsfield home and taken to the Somerset County Jail in Madison.
He was awaiting a hearing for bail and arraignment.
