
Since the U.S. started military operations in Iran, the price of crude oil has been in flux as uncertainty rises on how long the war will last.
That has caused gas prices to climb over the past two weeks, after a period of relatively stable prices over the past few months.
Maine has seen the average price of one gallon of regular grade gas climb by eight cents since Monday, while the price of a gallon of diesel has increased by 13 cents since the beginning of the week, according to AAA’s fuel price tracker.
Nationally, the average price of one gallon of regular grade gas has increased by 15 cents.
