Lincoln has named a new town manager.
That comes after newly hired Andrew Frodahl backed out of the job just days before he was due to start. Town councilors noted that Frodahl was apologetic and that he came to the conclusion that the job was not a good fit.
On Tuesday, the Town Council voted unanimously to appoint longtime town employee Dennis Bullen to the post, which he has filled on an interim basis since the resignation of his predecessor, Richard Bronson.
“I’m very excited for this opportunity, and I would like to thank the Council for their belief in me,” Bullen said. “We are at a very exciting time for Lincoln, our mill site revitalization project continues to draw national attention and we’re on the cusp of Biofine breaking ground.”
Bullen has spent 10 years working for Lincoln, acting as director of both the public works department and the transfer station, as well as serving as a supervisor within the Cemetery, Parks, and Recreation Department.
Before coming to Lincoln, Bullen owned and operated a concrete, masonry and demolition company in Maryland.
His contract will run for two years.
