The FBI was in Waterboro last week to help a California county sheriff’s deputies with an investigation.
Federal agents, along with York County sheriff’s deputies, executed a search warrant at a Main Street home on March 4, according to York County Sheriff William King.
That search warrant was related to an investigation out of Marin County in California. No arrests have yet been made, according to a news release from the Marin County sheriff shared by King with Maine media.
King last week said there’s no threat to the public and urged Waterboro residents and businesses to go about their daily routines.
Police have been tight-lipped about what they were looking for in Waterboro last week. King said he was limited in what he could release, and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office is releasing no more details at this time.
