The Bay of Fundy International Marathon to be held June 21 announced the local nonprofit and community organizations selected as beneficiaries of its 2026 Charity Bib Program, a fundraising initiative that connects runners directly with causes serving the communities of Lubec and Campobello.
BFIM’s mission is to strengthen community collaboration, contribute to the local economy and promote active and healthy lifestyles by hosting road race events in Lubec and Campobello. The Charity Bib Program helps advance that mission by turning participant fundraising into direct community support while giving runners an avenue into the sold out event.
“BFIM is more than a race day, it’s a model of international partnership and shared effort between our communities connected by the FDR Memorial Bridge,” said Eric Mauricette co-race director. “The Charity Bib Program gives runners a meaningful way to support local organizations that make a real difference year-round.”
Runners participating in the Charity Bib Program may select one of the following organizations during registration:
Campobello Island, New Brunswick: Campobello Island Clothesline and Food Bank, Campobello Public Library, Campobello Island Consolidated School – Scholarship Fund. Charlotte County Cancer Society and Campobello Fire Department. Lubec, Maine: Lubec Community Outreach Center, Lubec Memorial Library, Lubec Elementary School – Playground Fund, Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center, Lubec Fire Department, Cobscook Institute – Access Fund, and Wabanaki Reach.
Charity Bibs are available in limited quantities through BFIM registration on Race Roster. Participants commit to raising a minimum fundraising amount, using a personal fundraising page created through Race Roster. Each beneficiary has a limited allotment of Charity Bibs available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Charity Bibs are offered for select BFIM events (as indicated in registration). Participants who do not meet the fundraising minimum by the stated deadline may forfeit their entry.
