Savannah Guthrie intends on returning to the Today show after the disappearance of her mom, Nancy Guthrie.

“Savannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her TODAY colleagues,” a Today spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday, March 5. “While she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home.”

Savannah, 54, has been absent from the Today show since news broke on February 1 that Nancy was missing in Arizona. Former Today coanchor Hoda Kotb has stepped in for Savannah, hosting alongside Craig Melvin.

The NBC morning show has shown support for Savannah and her family, with the cohosts all wearing small pins with yellow ribbons over the last several weeks. There have also been yellow flowers displayed throughout the studio, symbolizing hope.

“So many people [are] placing yellow flowers near Nancy’s home and all across the city [of Tucson, Arizona],” Kotb, 61, noted while cohosting Today in February. “We got a suggestion from one of our viewers here, we’re doing the same here.”

She continued: “Yellow roses around Studio 1A and we’re all wearing ribbons as we send our love to Savannah and her family.”

In the wake of Nancy’s disappearance, Savannah and her siblings have put on a united front and offered statements for their mother’s safe return. (Nancy shared daughters Annie and Savannah and son Camron with late husband Charles Guthrie, who died in 1988 after a heart attack.)

Earlier this month, Savannah and her family were seen stopping by a memorial set up outside of Nancy’s Tucson, Arizona, home. In the video, Annie could be heard crying as she locked arms with her husband, Tommaso Cioni, and Savannah. The group carried a handful of sunflowers, which they placed in front of a sign that read, “Dear Guthrie family, your neighbors stand with you.”

“Savannah Guthrie, her sister, Annie, and her brother-in-law, Tommaso, visit the memorial outside Nancy’s house just now,” Brian Entin, a senior national correspondent for NewsNation, wrote via X on Monday, March 2, alongside a video.

At the end of the clip, the group hugged and stood before the memorial. NewsNation also reported that the trio left a note.

As the search for Nancy continues, Savannah shared that her family’s reward for Nancy’s return has been increased to $1 million. The FBI’s $100,000 reward is still active for credible information that may help find Nancy.

“Someone knows how to find our mom and bring her home,” Savannah captioned an Instagram video in February, adding the phone number for the FBI’s tip line.
