BELFAST — The Underground Lounge is thrilled to present Portland-based soul vocalist Kenya Hall, with band members Dan Boyden, Tyler Quist and Kyle Friday, live in concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. The Underground Lounge is located at 17 Court St. in Belfast, under the Basil Burwell Community Theatre.
Since arriving in Maine from Ohio in 2001, Hall has carved out a reputation throughout the region for her dynamic blend of soul, funk and R&B, weaving heartfelt songwriting with commanding vocals that resonate with audiences. Dubbed “a soul powerhouse” by Rolling Stone Magazine, Hall is as one-of-a-kind as it gets. The Underground Lounge is Belfast’s volunteer-led DIY music series, bringing Maine-based and regional talent to the stage through the long off-season. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the music begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $10-$20 (cash only at the door) and food and beverages will be available by donation.
