Tracker‘s newest case has Justin Hartley‘s character, Colter, on the run from the law — with a little help from offscreen wife Sofia Pernas.
In Us Weekly‘s exclusive clip from the Sunday, March 1, midseason return, Billie (Pernas) pretends not to know where Colter is when interrogated by authorities, saying, “I already told you I haven’t seen him.”
Billie visibly hides a clue that Colter was there — and injured — before talking her way out of the situation.
“Look, I don’t know anything. I’ve got things to do,” she says. “So either you are charging me or you can see yourself out.”
Justin Hartley Receives Support From Wife Sofia Pernas at Golden Globes
First-look images from the episode previously confirmed that Billie will be very aware of Colter’s whereabouts while stitching him up. According to the official synopsis, Colter will be “injured and framed for a string of murders,” which causes him to lose contact with Reenie (Fiona Rene) and Randy (Chris Lee). He must then “rely on unexpected ally Billie to stop a relentless assassin, uncovering a murky truth where justice and vengeance blur.”
Executive producer Elwood Reid previously confirmed Pernas’ return, telling Us Weekly in September 2025, “She’ll be back. We have a really good, spicy midseason finale, and Billie is coming back in the winter premiere.”

Based on Jeffery Deaver’s novel The Never Game, Tracker follows a survivalist named Colter who travels the country helping people and law enforcement tackle a variety of mysteries. As the series unfolds, viewers learn more about how Colter’s past shaped his current life as a lone wolf.
Hartley, 49, serves as both the lead and an executive producer on the show, which found its audience as soon as it premiered in early 2024. As Tracker continued to set TV records and raise viewership numbers, the actor has found ways to involve his former costars — and Pernas, 36.
“She’s wonderful. I mean, if I had my choice, I’d spend every minute with her,” Hartley gushed to Us in July 2024. “What’s really cool is when you meet someone that means so much to you, that you’re so proud to be with and so proud of, and just such a fan of, and to get to see her work, because she’s such a talented actor. She elevates scenes, and so it makes my job easier, actually. But yeah, it’s just wonderful to work with her.”
Justin Hartley and Wife Sofia Pernas’ Sweetest Quotes About Working Together
Reid, meanwhile, teased that Pernas reprising her role as Billie doesn’t mean Colter will finally settle down.
“It’s tricky because he’s never in one place for very long. These are conversations that I have with Justin all the time. One thing I think makes the show work is early on in each episode, you get an emotional hook with Colter about him wanting to help the person that’s asked him for help,” Reid explained. “It does feel weird where he’s like, ‘Hey, wait a minute, I’m gonna go for a five-minute booty call in the middle of the episode.’ So that’s something we haven’t been doing.”
According to Reid, Tracker will build upon that momentum while simultaneously expanding Billie’s individual story line.
“The challenge with Billy is [that] she’s a fellow tracker. She does what Colter does. So whenever you have her in an episode, you always have to figure out something for both of them to do,” he noted. “They’re both two alphas when they’re together. We found a really fun way to use her this season.”
Tracker airs on CBS Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
