A lot of people watch Netflix to stream the latest seasons of the platform’s hit shows like Bridgerton and The Night Agent, completely forgetting that the streamer has some pretty good movies, too.
Watch With Us has curated some of the best Netflix movies to watch during the last weekend of February. At the top of our list is the survival thriller Fall, which is currently one of Netflix’s most popular films.
Our other selections include the WWII drama The Swedish Connection and Rob Reiner’s bittersweet comedy, The Bucket List.
‘Fall’ (2022)
A year after her husband falls to his death during a joint mountain climbing expedition, Becky (Grace Caroline Currey) reluctantly accepts her best friend Shiloh’s (Virginia Gardner) invitation to scale a 2,000-foot TV tower looking for closure. But after spreading his ashes at the top, an accident leaves the two women stranded. With low cell service and no one around, they’ll have to find a way down that doesn’t involve certain death. But will long-buried secrets between the two women resurface, threatening not only their friendship but also their lives?

Fall successfully exploits its simple but enthralling premise by milking as much drama as it can from a seemingly mundane task — climbing up and down a giant pole. The movie successfully convinces you these two women are thousands of feet in the air, so much so that you might feel as nauseous as they do when they look down at the distant ground beneath them. If you’re afraid of heights, don’t watch Fall, but if you like a good old-fashioned survival thriller you’ll have a good time.
‘The Bucket List’ (2007)
Blue-collar mechanic Carter (Morgan Freeman) and billionaire Edward (Jack Nicholson) have almost nothing in common except for one terrifying fact — both have terminal lung cancer. With only months to live, both men make a bucket list of all the things they still want to do while they are still alive. But as they travel the world and cross items off their list, they realize they gained something unexpected — a deep friendship that makes the remaining time they have more meaningful.
The Bucket List sounds depressing, but it’s mostly played for laughs. Director Rob Reiner keeps the tone light throughout most of the movie, with Freeman and Nicholson trading dad jokes that for better or worse make you laugh. The ending is poignant without being cloying, and may just inspire you to make a bucket list of your own.
The Bucket List is streaming on Netflix.
‘The Swedish Connection’ (2026)
Most people have seen Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-winning World War II drama Schindler’s List, but in case you haven’t, here’s the gist: wealthy German Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) secretly saves the lives of hundreds of Jews by employing them in his factory. A real-life hero, Schindler wasn’t the only one to use his privilege to help others in need as the Nazis waged war across Europe.

The 2026 film The Swedish Connection chronicles the stranger-than-fiction heroism of Gösta Engzell, a Swedish bureaucrat who worked for his home country’s foreign ministry in the early 1940s. While Sweden was officially a neutral country during World War II, Engzell is called to action when he realizes Germany is sending Swedish Jews to concentration camps. Instead of picking up a gun or spying on the enemy, Gosta does what he does best — wield the power of a rubber stamp and tons of paperwork to save the lives of strangers.
The Swedish Connection is an odd war movie because for Gosta, the war is fought in the office, not on the battlefield. The movie successfully mixes black humor with economical, dramatic storytelling to spin a surprisingly captivating narrative. Who would’ve thought that, under the right circumstances, the most heroic thing you can do is file some papers?
