The second half of Bridgerton season 4 addressed Benedict and Sophie’s relationship status after his mistress offer — but where else did everyone end up?
In part 2, which aired on Thursday, February 26, Benedict and Sophie considered the possibility she would become his mistress, which came with some intense back and forth. Sophie initially accepted the offer, then changed her mind because of her own trauma from being illegitimate.
The couple couldn’t keep away from each other for very long, though, and after Sophie’s stepmother got her arrested Benedict saved her and ultimately proposed. Benedict also discovered that Sophie was the Lady in Silver, so after initially lying aboutSophie’s noble lineage the pair were able to get engaged — and married in a post-credits scene.
Elsewhere in the episodes, Francesca was mourning the death of husband John. She did build a close connection with his cousin — Francesca’s future love interest — but Michaela bailed after she grew attracted to John’s widow.

Benedict and Sophie
The season picked back up with Benedict and Sophie avoiding each other. They couldn’t keep away from each other for long, though, and ultimately consummated their relationship after Sophie agreed to explore a romance with Benedict. The idea of her being his mistress came with lots of complications and she quickly pulled the plug.
Despite their breakup, Benedict and Sophie couldn’t maintain their distance — so Sophie decided to take a job overseas. Before she could leave, Sophie was arrested. Thankfully, Benedict — who by then wanted to propose to Sophie and found out she was the Lady in Silver — was able to rescue Sophie from a life behind bars.
After blackmailing her stepmother with the revelation that Araminta kept money from Sophie, the fictional couple got engaged and said “I do.”
Penelope and Colin
Most of part 2 focused on Penelope wanting to leave Lady Whistledown behind her. Queen Charlotte initially refused her request to quit, but after a talk with Lady Danbury the royal let them both go. Penelope was shocked to discover that now someone else would be taking over the Lady Whistledown name. Lady Danbury, meanwhile, ended the season with plans to depart Mayfair.
Kate and Anthony
Only about three blink-and-you-miss-it Kate and Anthony scenes were included in part 2. After returning to their home with their baby, Kate gave the Bridgerton girls advice about being nice to Cressida and Anthony shamed Benedict for his romance with Sophie. They were also both at Benedict and Sophie’s wedding.
Francesca and John
A rocky start between Francesca and Michaela turned into a genuine friendship in the first episodes of part 2. The duo leaned on each other when Francesca found John dead in his sleep and they remained close until Michaela inexplicably left. Francesca spent most of the episodes in mourning while viewers picked up on clues about Michaela’s growing interest in John’s widow.

Eloise
Eloise was able to patch things up with Hyacinth before the season ended. She also started to see the value of a love match — although not yet ready for her own. And Eloise got to a better place with Cressida after their issues last season.
Alice and Will
Alice found her place as the queen’s lady in waiting by sharing gossip and matchmaking. She was the perfect fit once Lady Danbury started to plan her exit from society for the foreseeable future.
Violet and Marcus
While the season started with Violet and Marcus planning a future — and secretly getting engaged — they ended things by the finale. Marcus was the one to pull the plug after seeing how Violet avoided making him a member of her family.
