Heidi Klum recently admitted that she was tasked with keeping a sleepy Diplo awake during their newest music collaboration.
Klum, 52, exclusively revealed to Us Weekly that the DJ and producer had trouble staying awake during the filming of the music video for her newest single, “Red Eye,” which is available for streaming on all platforms.
“He was very tired, like he literally fell asleep all over the place,” Klum told Us. ”We constantly had to get him up off the couch.”
Klum said that Diplo, whose full name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, had just gotten back from a trip to India, which added to his exhaustion.

“He really is so busy. If you follow him, like he is everywhere in the world,” Klum said. “When you ask, ‘Where is Heidi Klum?’ most of the time, either in L.A. or in New York. He is a full-on globetrotter. He’s always in the wrong time zone and so, I had one of those days with him where, literally, it was amazing when his eyes were open. [He was] still jet-lagged.”
In the video, Klum and Diplo, 47, play a couple in the middle of a fight. Despite the intense onscreen chemistry, Klum insists that the flirting never left the screen.
“He’s definitely not flirting with me,” Klum said. “He’s never flirted with me in his life, and he’s very respectful.”
“Red Eye” is Klum’s fourth single. The supermodel has collaborated with many iconic artists such as Snoop Dogg and Tiësto on her previous singles, “Chai Tea” and “Sunglasses at Night,” respectively.
Klum considers these experiences to be unbelievable moments for her.
“I’m just very grateful that I get to have these pinch-me moments in my life,” Klum told Us. “Doing another song with Diplo, like I was so lucky to do one with Tiësto, with Snoop Dogg, and each and every one of them are pinch-me moments where I have no business being here, really, but I am, and it’s so much fun.”

Klum’s kids, Leni, 21, Henry, 20, Johan, 19, and Lou, 16, whom she shares with ex-husband Seal, also can’t seem to wrap their heads around the fact that their mom is working with artists like Snoop Dogg, 54.
“They just don’t believe it,” Klum told Us. “They’re like, ‘What do you mean you’re doing a song with Snoop Dogg?’ [laughs] I said to them, I’m like, the same way, as surprised as you are why this is happening.”
Klum said she does believe her kids find some fun in it as well.
“We’ve seen Diplo in Aspen in the past, where we all go and see his set together,” Klum told Us. “We’re all, like, in the DJ booth. It’s so fun to go and do this and experience this with your kids. And then, all of a sudden, they’re like, hearing a song that I do with him together. It’s fun for them, I think.”
