PORTLAND — Spinnaker Trust is pleased to announce the promotions of Tim Kaijala, CAIA, CSRIC™, FDP to senior vice president, chief investment officer; Serena Amlie, CFA, ASA to vice president, ESOP client advisor; and Karen Hamblen to vice president, director of relationship administration.

Kaijala supports the firm’s investment strategy and due diligence processes across public and private markets. He works closely with Spinnaker’s client advisors and client service teams to align portfolio construction with client goals and serves as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Since joining Spinnaker, Kaijala has played a key role in guiding the firm’s investment philosophy and helping clients navigate complex market environments.
Amlie collaborates with Employee Stock Ownership Plan clients to develop customized strategies that align with their financial goals and employee ownership objectives. She advises on ESOP-related transactions, oversees annual valuations of company stock, and works closely with corporate leadership teams to support long-term planning and fiduciary responsibilities. Her combined background in valuation and financial analysis enhances Spinnaker’s growing ESOP practice.
Hamblen oversees Spinnaker’s relationship administration function, ensuring clients receive responsive and accurate service across trusts, estates, IRAs and other managed accounts. She works closely with advisors and operations teams to support seamless account administration and consistent client experience.
