
Bangor’s public buses will stop running early Monday because of the winter storm.
The downtown Transit Center close and all Community Connector buses will stop running at 1 p.m., according to the city.
That includes the paratransit service for people with disabilities.
A winter storm bearing down on Maine on Monday is expected to create blizzard-like conditions from Greater Bangor to Down East Maine. The winds and snow will be heaviest during the afternoon and evening, when whiteout conditions are possible.
The storm is forecast to drop from 6 inches over Greater Bangor to more than a foot around Machias. Winds are expected to gust up to 50 mph.
The Community Connector will resume normal operations Tuesday.
