Love Is Blind season 10 contestant Alex Henderson has raised a lot of questions following the drop of the latest batch of episodes of the Netflix series.
Alex got engaged to Ashley Carpenter in the pods, with the twosome, somehow, finding sexual chemistry through the wall. Alex, however, told Us Weekly that there was more to their relationship.
“In the pods, there were a lot more in-depth conversations that I had with not just her, with a number of other women, that I think would probably give a little bit more shape to who I am as a person,” he told Us.
And while the twosome’s connection appeared to be strong when they met IRL, things took a turn after the trip to Cabo.
Everything to Know About ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 — So Far
“The whole point of this experiment is, obviously, to see if you can get over the physical with the woman that you’re interested in, which is why I stayed in it,” he continued. “Am I going to open up a reveal and see a beautiful woman across from there and treat her with respect and kindness? Of course, naturally. As time goes on though, you’ve got to really dive into [whether] physical needs match the emotional. I think they both are equal and both important. But I needed both, and I just didn’t necessarily find it right away. I think we continue to have conversations and build through that to really see if it’s possible to kind of move forward with.”
There was one particular onscreen conversation between the duo that got awkward when Ashley questioned why Alex was no longer initiating sex, leading to him questioning whether she was more likely to get pregnant on her period and how ovulation actually works. Ashley also denied that she was trying to “trap” Alex with a baby. When Us asked about that scene, Alex seemed surprised it aired.

“You just broke that news to me, so no, I did not think that was a thing,” he said. “But I hope I sound educated. I probably don’t, though.” He joked he couldn’t wait to watch, adding, “It will be great.”
Another one of the couple’s hiccups was over where to live as Alex prefers a “nomad” lifestyle and Ashley was exploring a promotion at her job in Ohio. Alex’s employment status seemed flexible, with the reality star stating that he had job offers in both Arizona and Florida waiting for him.
“It’s confusing to me, too, to be completely honest,” he confessed before giving Us a “brief synopsis” of his recent employment history.
“I worked at Merrill Lynch, after soccer ended, in Denver, went to Chicago, worked for a Canadian bank there called BMO for three years. COVID ended my career and gave me a severance package, which led me to traveling the world at a time where travel was difficult,” he said. “I went to Australia. I took the severance package, and then I got jobs out there. I worked as a fisherman in the middle of Northern Territory, Australia, randomly. I got a job running a gym in Australia, and then I got a job as a casino dealer out there. I came back to the States because there was a wedding I was supposed to be in, which was fantastic. I enjoyed it. I tried to figure out what I wanted to do next, and it just continues to roll. So it’s ‘Hey, go down to Florida next and do this, and then go to Arizona and do this.’ How to explain that to somebody for a marriage without trauma dumping is borderline impossible. So that was my best attempt at it.”
