A woman was killed Monday afternoon in a collision in Winterport.
Heather Browning, 50, was driving a 2012 Subaru Outback north on North Road about 1:44 p.m. when she failed to yield at the intersection with Monroe Road, according to the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.
Browning collided with an eastbound 2014 Nissan Frontier driven by 60-year-old Stephen Gomm.
Browning died at the scene.
Gomm was taken to the hospital by ambulance, while a child in the Subaru was airlifted to the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
