The Duggar family has fascinated fans for years as they’ve grown bigger and bigger — but could there be even more members we don’t know about?
“Are there any mystery Duggar grandkids?” a fan asked Jinger Duggar during an Instagram Q&A session on Thursday, February 5.
Jinger, who is one of 19 children, jokingly replied, “Ohhh,” with the side-eye emoji. “Maybe there are some I don’t know about in a family as large as mine?! Haha jk,” she added with a laughing, crying-face emoji.
While Jinger, 32, is confident she knows how many grandchildren her parents, Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, have to date, she confessed it’s not easy keeping track of everyone — especially when it comes to their birthdays.
“I have my siblings’ birthdays and my parents’ birthdays memorized,” Jinger shared via her Instagram Story when asked whether she has to “google” everyone’s special day. “Beyond that, in-laws? No. Nieces and nephews, maybe one or two?”
Jinger explained that she does have mixed feelings about not being able to list her nieces and nephews birthdays off the top of her head.
“It’s one of those things where I kinda feel bad about it but also at the same time we’re at like 40 grandkids from my parents so that’s like a lot to remember,” she said.

Jinger added, “There are a couple of the sisters-in-law that may have them all down and I am so impressed by that. That’s a big thing. I’m just not great with dates.”
As fans know, Jinger rose to fame in 2008 when she and her family made their reality TV debut on TLC with 19 Kids and Counting. The show ran for 15 seasons, ending in 2015.
It documented Jim Bob and Michelle’s lives homeschooling their 19 children: Joshua, twins Jana and John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie.
In 2015, the spinoff Counting On premiered, following the family’s older children as they got married and started their own families. The sequel series was canceled after 11 seasons in 2021 following Jinger’s brother Josh’s sexual misconduct scandal. (Josh was sentenced to 151 months in prison after being convicted of possessing and receiving child pornography.)
Even after the show ended, fans have kept up with the majority of the Duggar family members, including Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo.
The couple tied the knot in 2016 and have since welcomed three kids: daughters Felicity, 7, and Evangeline, 5, and son Finnegan, 10 months.

During her Thursday Q&A, Jinger gave her followers a little more insight into her life in such a big unit, including whether she sends gifts to all her siblings and nieces and nephews on their birthdays.
“I wish that were the case but that’s kinda a lot with the amount of siblings I have and also with all the nieces and nephews,” Jinger answered honestly.
She then recalled that growing up, she was “impressed” that a lot of her aunts and uncles sent her and her 18 siblings “birthday cards until we were 18” with about $5 in each.
Jinger previously shared that for the holidays — she and Jeremy attended the Duggar Christmas in December 2025 for the first time in nine years — they do exchange gifts. However, it is based on the name you’ve picked.
“Everybody’s going to be having gifts for the person they bought a gift for. All the older girls are in a drawing, all the guys are in a drawing — in-laws, everything,” she explained during a December 2025 episode of the couple’s “Jinger & Jeremy Vuolo” podcast. “All of the little nieces and nephews … have a drawing thing. [Everyone] is buying one gift, or a certain amount, for each other.”
