3 Best New Hulu Movies to Stream This Weekend (February 6-8): ‘Splitsville’ and More

This weekend, most American households will tune into the 2026 Puppy Bowl Super Bowl 60, but for non-football fans, their best bet is to turn on Hulu.

Why Hulu? The streamer just added a slew of new movies in February that make the high subscription fee worth it.

To make things easier for you, Watch With Us has selected the three best new Hulu movies to watch this weekend.

The Dakota Johnson comedy Splitsville, the period drama Kill Your Darlings and the ‘90s thriller Sleeping with the Enemy are all great options to watch if you’re not a pigskin fan.

‘Splitsville’ (2025)

Married couple Carey (Kyle Marvin) and Ashley (Adria Arjona) are going through a rough patch. After witnessing a horrific car accident, Ashley reveals to Carey that she wants a divorce. Heartbroken, Carey takes refuge at his friends’ beach house, where he learns that the couple, Paul (Michael Angelo Covino) and Julie (Johnson), are in an open relationship. Things get even more complicated when Carey begins an affair with Julie, while Ashley rethinks her decision to exit her marriage.

10 Best New Movies to Stream This Weekend (January 30-February 1): ‘The Wrecking Crew’ and More

Love is messy, and Splitsville milks its slightly screwball premise for lots of laughs — and more than a couple cringes. The plot is a bit stuffed — there’s a running bit about a stolen jet ski that isn’t as funny as the director thinks — but for the most part, Splitsville is an effective comedy of manners about modern romance. Johnson once again showcases a flair for deadpan comedy, while the rest of the cast is appropriately perturbed at all the ways love can go wrong.

Splitsville is streaming on Hulu.

‘Kill Your Darlings’ (2013)

Two years after the Harry Potter movie series ended, lead star Daniel Radcliffe wanted to drastically change his screen image, and he succeeded with the indie drama Kill Your Darlings. The former Boy Who Lived stars as real-life Beat poet Allen Ginsberg, who, in 1944, had yet to achieve fame as an author and counterculture figure.

Still a student at Columbia University, Ginsberg falls under the sway of Lucien Carr (Dane DeHaan), a talented yet unstable student who is having an affair with a professor, David Kammerer (Michael C. Hall). As Ginsberg develops his talents as a writer, he becomes involved in a dangerous love triangle with Carr and Kammerer that eventually turns lethal.

What makes Kill Your Darlings so captivating is that its tragic crime story is based on historical fact. What’s depicted in the film actually happened, more or less, which gives everything a dramatic heft that a purely fictional story would normally lack. Radcliffe looks, acts and sounds nothing like Ginsberg, but that works in the film’s favor — this Ginsberg is still in his embryonic stage, and Radcliffe conveys all his uncertainty and vulnerability as he falls helplessly in love with a man who is no good for him. We can all relate to that, can’t we?

Kill Your Darlings is streaming on Hulu.

‘Sleeping with the Enemy’ (1991)

Laura Burney (Julia Roberts) has a picture-perfect life, with a beautiful Cape Cod home and a seemingly perfect husband, Martin (Patrick Bergin), making her the envy of everyone around her. But appearances can be deceiving and in reality, Laura is being physically and mentally abused by Martin. In desperation, she fakes her death and starts a new life in a small Midwestern town. But Martin is obsessed with the fact that she’s still alive, and he won’t let her go until death truly does tear them apart. Will Laura be ready once her past inevitably catches up with her?

Released only a year after Pretty Woman, Sleeping with the Enemy was a big hit in 1991, and it still holds up today. As the damaged Laura, Roberts is effectively sympathetic — she’s vulnerable but never weak, and more resourceful than you first think. Bergin’s Martin is appropriately creepy, a Boogeyman stand-in for all the abusive partners who exist in the real world. By the end, if you’re not rooting for him to get his violent comeuppance, well, something’s wrong with you.

Sleeping with the Enemy is streaming on Hulu.
