A Buckfield man allegedly planted explosives in a snowbank outside an acquaintance’s home last month.
Zachary Williams, 50, faces charges of criminal use of explosives, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Williams is suspected of planting explosives in a snowbank outside a Decoster Road home in Sumner on Jan. 12. The explosives went off that day.
Police executed a search warrant at Williams’ Allen School Road home in Buckfield about 11 a.m. Monday, Moss said Tuesday.
During the search, police found several items that could be used to make explosives, according to Moss.
Williams was taken to the Oxford County Jail in South Paris, where he was released on $500.
