Paramount’s Yellowstone is over but the TV universe continues to grow with several long gestating spinoffs — including The Madison.
The popular franchise, which premiered in 2018, introduced viewers to the fictional Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in Montana. While some viewers came for Kevin Costner‘s portrayal of family patriarch John Dutton — and stayed for the show’s other stars, including Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Gil Birmingham and Cole Hauser — others were drawn to the dramatic story lines and surprising twists.
Sheridan has expanded his successful TV universe with several original shows, including Landman, Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness and Tulsa King. He has also offered prequel shows to Yellowstone, starting with 1883 and later 1923.
Before the flagship Yellowstone series came to an end, ViacomCBS president Chris McCarthy confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter in 2023 that another spinoff starring Matthew McConaughey was in the works. One year later, however, the McConaughey spinoff appeared to be dead and replaced by a different spinoff, titled The Madison.

When Will ‘The Madison’ Premiere on Paramount?
The Madison will premiere on March 14. Filming took place in Montana in late 2024 with additional scenes filmed in New York City and Texas. The show has already filmed two seasons.
What Is the Spinoff About?
According to the official description, The Madison “follows the McIntosh family, originally from New York City, who live in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”

Who Makes Up the Cast?
Pfeiffer stars as Stacy Clyburn, Paige (Elle Chapman) and Abigail’s (Beau Garrett) mother. Abigail, meanwhile, is described as a “resilient and sardonic New Yorker, who is a recently divorced mother of two” while Paige is a “somewhat self-centered woman who indulges in a luxurious New York lifestyle provided by her parents and investment banker husband.”
Speaking of Paige’s husband, Adams plays Russell, a “young investment banker who has followed the life path set before him from the start.” Fox is also part of the show, playing a “self-reliant bachelor who loves the outdoors” while Zegers is “Stacy’s new neighbor [who was] asked to look out for the place until the family showed up.”
The rest of the cast includes Amiah Miller, Danielle Vasinova, Ben Schnetzer, Rebecca Spence, Alaina Pollack and Kurt Russell.
Are ‘Yellowstone’ Stars on ‘The Madison’?
No cameos have been announced — yet. In addition to The Madison, Yellowstone is expanding with spinoffs including CBS’ Y: Marshals about Grimes’ Kayce, a Rip and Beth focused spinoff titled The Dutton Ranch, 1944 and 6666.
