BANGOR — Penobscot Community Health Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Banjo Ogunlela, CC, MCPN, PMP, ITIL, MCSE to the PCHC Board of Directors, effective immediately. Ogunlela works as a small business advisor and microenterprise specialist at New Ventures Maine, a University of Maine program helping Mainers achieve career and business goals. Ogunlela offers online classes to entrepreneurs who plan to launch new businesses in north central and Down East Maine.

Ogunlela recently completed his master of arts in global policy at the University of Maine where he worked as a graduate teaching assistant and lecturer. He has also earned a PhD in business administration (supply chain integration), an MA in global policy, an MSc in cybersecurity and an MBA in technology management. Previously, he served on the faculty of business and management sciences at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa, where he lectured and conducted research on business administration, entrepreneurship, and disruptive innovation.
Ogunlela also brings 17 years of information technology operations and training experience from professional posts with the United Nations World Food Program (in South Africa), Shell Petroleum Development Co. (Nigeria) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company.
