Ray J continued to raise concerns with new claims about his health after his recent hospitalization.
“2027 is definitely a wrap for me,” Ray J, 45, said in a social media video on Tuesday, January 27. “That’s what they say.”
In the background, a friend told Ray J not to “say that,” adding, “F*** the doctor.” Ray J, however, stood by his statement.
“I shouldn’t have went this hard, bro,” Ray J said. “My baby mama gonna be straight, my kids gonna be straight. If they wanna spend all the money, they can spend it. I did my part here. And damn, when it’s all done, burn me, don’t bury me.”

The singer issued a thank you to his parents and sister Brandy for helping him with doctor visits and medical bills “for the rest of the year.”
Ray J didn’t offer any more specifics on his health, but in a separate social media video shared Sunday, January 25, he claimed that he “almost died.”
“My heart is only beating, like, 25 percent,” he said. “But as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, then everything will be all right, so thank you for all your prayers.”
Earlier this month, Ray J was reportedly admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and heart pains. According to TMZ, Ray J previously suffered from the illness in 2021 and “thought he could die.”
The Mayo Clinic refers to pneumonia as an issue affecting the lungs, which can be caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Us Weekly reached out to Ray J at the time for comment.
Several weeks before his hospitalization, Ray J took to social media to announce his involvement in a new show titled Celebrity Hitchhiker.
“I’m hitchhiking right now to try to get a place to stay tonight,” he wrote via Instagram in December 2025. “Hopefully I can meet a new family, and it can take me in and teach me about their rules and their goals and life, and then send me on my way to the next destination.”

Ray J, who was filming the video in Florida, stated that he was looking to travel to Los Angeles ahead of the holidays.
“I need some food and I need shelter,” he shared. “Just a lot of s*** that’s happened. And I just wanna get back home and see my kids. It’s a hitchhiking show, but it’s real though at the same time, and I wanna make it really authentic. I just do it for real on my phone. I mean, I have a camera in there too, but it’s just me.”
One month prior, Ray J was arrested for allegedly threatening his estranged wife, Princess Love. TMZ reported that Ray J said he had “the worst Thanksgiving in the f***ing world” before appearing to pull a gun on Princess Love, 41, in a livestream video.
“Y’all wanna drive drunk? Y’all wanna drive drunk? Drive drunk. Drive drunk, Princess,” he said, to which Princess Love replied, “Ray, you just pointed a gun.”
TMZ later confirmed that Ray J was released from jail on the day of his arrest. In a subsequent livestream, Ray J alleged that he nearly got into a fight with a fellow inmate while behind bars.
