Andy Cohen has no plans to invite Jillian Michaels back to the Watch What Happens Live clubhouse after she allegedly screamed at his staff.
“I don’t think there’s a market for that,” Cohen, 57, told Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday, January 27, about the chances of Michaels, 51, returning to his late night show. “By the way, I don’t think she would come.”
Cohen recalled Michaels’ one and only appearance on WWHL in 2013, saying, “She was furious. I should watch it back, if I cared. I don’t see what she was upset about.”
During her WWHL episode, the former Biggest Loser trainer addressed some of the biggest mistakes people make during workout routines and spoke with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville, who called in with a flirty comment. Michaels was a guest alongside The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch, later taking part in Cohen’s shotski drinking segment.

“[Jillian] left and she was screaming at my staff,” Cohen alleged. “And if you scream at my staff, that’s kind of it for me.”

The fitness expert became a household name when The Biggest Loser premiered on NBC in 2004. Viewers would tune in to see a group of people deemed overweight competing to see who could lose as many pounds as possible in 30 weeks.
Despite its popularity, The Biggest Loser later received criticism for allegedly pushing contestants to lose weight through intense exercise and calorie-restricted diets. Michaels, for her part, faced backlash after a 2013 episode of the show when she was accused of cheating by allowing her team to take caffeine pills without a doctor’s permission.
Michaels later clarified that she stood by her approach on the show.
“The ones I yelled at are the ones that kept it off,” she shared on Today Health in 2021. “You need them to feel the pain of the way they’ve been living. You need them to have a rock bottom moment where they’re like, ‘I can’t take one more moment.’”
Michaels concluded: “The diet worked amazing. You eat less, you move more, and there you go. The contestants who were unsuccessful when they went home, they had unresolved issues with food.”

The Biggest Loser conversation was reignited when an August 2025 Netflix documentary reexamined the show’s controversies.
Michaels chose not to participate in the docuseries, but she made headlines that same month for her comments about slavery and race while on a panel on CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip about President Donald Trump‘s order for a review of the Smithsonian Institution’s exhibits.
“I never would have thought my life would have taken [this] kind of a turn. But you know, I’m extremely curious about everything going on, and being able to ask brilliant minds about it is fun. I’m not pretending to be something that I’m not,” she told Women’s Health in October 2025. “They’ll build you up and aim to tear you down. You can count on it — it’s clockwork.”
She continued: “You can do no wrong until it’s time for you to be shoved off the mountain. Even before cancel culture was cancel culture, if you were too popular, they’d try to bring you to your knees … It’s just what we do as a culture. We build people up, and then we seek to destroy them.”
