Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stole the show at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival with a surprise joint appearance.

Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, stepped out at the Saturday, January 24, premiere of the Cookie Queens documentary at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Salt Lake City, each dressed casually as they posed for photos on the red carpet.

Harry sported a navy puffy vest over a coordinating sweater and olive-colored slacks, while Meghan opted for a chic black sweater and fitted trousers. For glam, the Duchess of Sussex wore her straight hair down and middle-parted.

The royal couple, who have been married since 2018, posed for various photos with Amy Redford, Sundance director Eugene Hernandez and Cookie Queens filmmaker Alysa Nahmias. (Amy, 55, is the daughter of the late Robert Redford, who notably created both the Sundance Institute and the Sundance Film Festival.)

Meghan Markle Shares Throwback Girl Scout Pics: ‘Still Selling Cookies’

Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions coproduced Cookie Queens, an upcoming documentary about the ever-thrilling Girl Scout cookie sales season.

“Captivating, candid and full of heart, the film follows four girls ages five to 12 and their families as they navigate the annual whirlwind of selling, striving and succeeding,” a film description reads, per Deadline. “For these Girl Scouts, selling cookies isn’t just about Thin Mints and sisterhood — it’s a crash course in entrepreneurship. Behind the smiles and cookie boxes lie real pressure: long hours, ambitious sales goals and the weight of high expectations.”

Cookie Queens is especially personal for Meghan, who was once a Girl Scout and sold multiple boxes of the beloved baked goods.

“As a former Girl Scout myself, with my mom [Doria Ragland] as my troop leader, I have a personal affinity for this film and am proud that all our conversations and collaboration have led to Archewell Productions partnering with this award-winning team to executive produce this incredibly captivating documentary,” Meghan said in a December 2025 statement. “When we first viewed the early footage of this documentary, it was immediately something we wanted to be involved in.”

She continued at the time, “The creative point of view, the edgy yet humanizing tone and tenor of the directing and the glimpse behind-the-scenes into such a nostalgic and also modern tradition of Girl Scout Cookie season are absolutely irresistible.”

Meghan and Harry also met with several current Scouts and the documentary subjects on Saturday, per a press release shared with Us Weekly.

What’s Driving Meghan Markle’s Latest ‘Very Conscious’ Reinvention

The former Suits actress and Harry started Archewell after stepping back from their duties as senior working royals in 2020. In addition to resigning from their regal positions, Meghan and the duke relocated from England to California. Meghan and Harry now raise their two children — Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4 — in Montecito, California.

“Harry is so happy living in the private world,” a source exclusively told Us earlier this month. “Even though he was raised [as a royal], he was never comfortable in that environment. He feels more like himself here. He had this crazy schedule and would come back through the palace gates and couldn’t go out or have a personal life.”
