Jana Duggar and her husband, Stephen Wissmann, are officially parents.
“We took some time to settle into our new rhythm before sharing this sweet news 🤍,” Duggar, 36, wrote via Instagram on Friday, January 23. “Archie Gerald Wissmann arrived on December 30, 2025, and our hearts have been completely changed. We’re soaking in these early days, full of love, wonder, and so much gratitude.”
Duggar and Wissmann announced her pregnancy with their first baby in August 2025.
“We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family!” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post at the time. “We’re counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!”

The accompanying maternity photos showed Duggar and Wissmann cradling her baby bump and kissing.
The pair met through their families in 2011 and reconnected in early 2024.
“It was like, ‘What are we doing? We still enjoy each other. We still really appreciate each other,’” Duggar told People in August 2024. “I had been a slower mover on it, but just over time, his character, his coming back, still loving me no matter what. I know we have a big crazy family and still kind of putting up with a lot of things. I’m like, my goodness, there are not too many people that do that. He must really, genuinely care about me.”
Duggar and Wissmann never publicly confirmed their courtship, quietly getting engaged in June 2024 and tying the knot in Arkansas that August.

One month before sharing her pregnancy news, Duggar celebrated Wissmann’s birthday with a gushing Instagram post.
“Happy birthday to my best friend and the love of my life, Stephen Wissmann! 💖,” she wrote in July 2025. “Life with you has been nothing short of amazing! Every adventure we’ve shared has been a joy, and I’ve loved every moment by your side. You are truly one of the kindest, most loving people I know, and I’m so grateful that you’re mine. 🥰 Here’s to many more wonderful years! Happy birthday, my love!! 🥳🎉.”
The following month, Duggar marked her first wedding anniversary with Wissmann, just days before announcing that the duo were expecting.

In his own anniversary post, Wissmann gushed, “Yesterday I was SO blessed to have celebrated one year of life and marriage with my best friend! [Through] the ups and downs, life with you only keeps getting better and better! Love you more than ever @janamduggar!!!!!”
