Pittsfield, Maine.

and R.C. Stevens all make up The Cianbro
Companies, which is based in Pittsfield. Our
work extends across the four corners of the
United States, from Alaska to Maine, and
California to Florida. Here are some of the
projects we are working on here in Maine:
BANGOR REGION YMCA PROJECT —
BANGOR, MAINE
In October 2025, A/Z Corporation, a Cianbro
company, broke ground on the new Bangor
Region YMCA. A/Z is the construction
manager of the new facility. Once completed,
it will be named the Cathy Gero Bangor
Region YMCA. The new facility will be nearly
double the size of the current facility and
expand access to vital community services for
the region.
TICONIC BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
— WATERVILLE, MAINE
Cianbro is the general contractor for the
major replacement of Maine’s historic Ticonic
Bridge, connecting Waterville and Winslow.
This complex project involves demolishing
old sections (some over 100 years old) of the
bridge and building a new, modern structure
designed for a century of use.
PROCTER & GAMBLE, TAMBRANDS
FACILITY — AUBURN, MAINE
For over two decades, Cianbro has overseen
the construction and maintenance activities
within Procter and Gamble’s Tambrands
facility. This includes basic maintenance
tasks, precise product line installations, and
expansion projects. Tambrands manufactures
and distributes feminine care products and
is currently the exclusive supplier of Tampax
Pearl to North America.
NEW ENGLAND DISTRIBUTION — MAINE
Throughout Maine and New Hampshire,
our distribution team routinely performs
maintenance on the electrical grid, ensuring
reliable power for our communities.
Maintenance activities include, but are not
limited to, upgrading poles, transformers,
and other critical components.
