Vanessa Marcil is publicly showing her support for Brooklyn Beckham years after experiencing her own family drama with ex Brian Austin Green.
“Brooklyn Beckham is individuating,” Marcil, 57, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, January 19, sharing a snap of a scenic sunset. “It’s developmentally completely normal and healthy. Brave kid ❤️.”
Marcil’s post came hours after Brooklyn, 26, shocked the internet by addressing his rumored family feud with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in a series of candid Instagram Story posts.
“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” Brooklyn wrote on Monday. “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

He went on to claim that David, 50, and Victoria, 51, have “controlled narratives in the press” about their family for his “entire life.” (The couple, who tied the knot in 1999, are also the parents of sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14.)
Brooklyn further alleged that his parents “have been trying endlessly to ruin” his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham since before their 2022 wedding, claiming that they “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe [him] into signing away the rights to [his] name, which would have affected [him], [his] wife and [their] future children.”
Neither David nor Victoria have addressed Brooklyn’s statement, but during an interview on Tuesday, January 20, David fielded a question about how social media can affect children’s mental health.

“I’ve been able to use my platform for my following, for UNICEF. And it’s been the biggest tool to make people aware of what’s going on around the world for children,” he said while appearing on CNBC’s Squawk Box. “And I’ve tried to do the same with my children, to educate them. They make mistakes. Children are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how they learn. So, that’s what I try to teach my kids, but you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well.”
Years earlier, Marcil experienced a rift in her own family after claiming that Green, 52, had no contact with their son, Kassius, now 23. Marcil and Green began dating in the late 1990s after meeting on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210.
“Kass has never met his youngest brother and is not allowed to know where his bio father, stepmother and three younger brothers live,” Marcil claimed in a November 2018 Instagram post. “Kass has been truly heartbroken since being cut out of his other families lives with NO explanation.”

At the time, Green was married to Megan Fox, with whom he shares Noah, 13, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 9. He later moved on with Sharna Burgess, and they welcomed son Zane, 3, in 2022.
While Green has seemingly repaired his alleged issues with Kassius, he and Marcil have been open about facing difficulties as they coparent.
“It was a very tumultuous separation because you have this thing in your head of how you want to win,” Green recalled of his split from Marcil during a November 2025 episode of Michael Rosenbaum’s “Inside of You” podcast. “You want to be the smarter of the two and you want to be acknowledged for that. So you’ve got these unrealistic expectations and both of us did. It was extremely tumultuous.”
