It’s finally 2026, and one of the few problems almost everyone shares is finding a good movie to watch.

If you have a Prime Video subscription, you’re in luck, as the streamer has a slew of great new films worth streaming.

Watch With Us has compiled a handy list of the best new-to-Prime Video movies to watch over the weekend.

The underrated Anna Kendrick drama Alice, Darling, the hit comedy The Boss and the sweet Ryan Reynolds rom-com Definitely, Maybe are all guaranteed to shake those winter blues away.

‘Alice, Darling’ (2022)

Alice (Anna Kendrick) is stuck in a mentally abusive relationship with Simon (Charlie Carrick), who controls her every move. Desperate to find some relief, she lies to him and says she has to travel to a secluded cottage in the woods when, in reality, she’s spending some quality time with her three best friends. But Simon is too smart to be fooled so easily, and when he discovers Alice has lied to him he sets out to travel to the cottage and bring Alice back to their home.

5 Best New Movies to Stream This Weekend (January 9-11)

Alice, Darling could’ve been a Fatal Attraction-type thriller, but it’s much more unsettling. Instead, it depicts a pretty realistic abusive relationship, one that leaves emotional rather than physical scars. Alice lives in a constant state of terror trying to please Simon, and she gradually realizes that it’s pointless to continue. In her best performance to date, Kendrick expertly shows Alice’s gradual transformation from abused girlfriend to someone who seeks the bleak future she’ll have if she stays with Simon.

Alice, Darling is streaming on Prime Video.

‘The Boss’ (2016)

Melissa McCarthy is one of the best comic actors working today, and she shows why she’s so talented in the 2016 comedy, The Boss. The Bridesmaids star plays Michelle Darnell, a self-made, successful CEO sent to prison for insider trading. In the wake of her release, she discovers all of her companies have been taken over by her rival and former lover Renault (Peter Dinklage). Her only hope of gaining back her wealth is by teaming up with her former assistant, Claire Rawlings (Kristen Bell), who isn’t exactly pleased to reconnect with her former boss. Can she resolve her hurt feelings for Michelle long enough to help her out?

The Boss is a big, broad comedy that isn’t ashamed to tell very obvious jokes that sometimes don’t land. But when they do, The Boss is very funny, and that’s largely because of McCarthy’s commitment to the material. Whether she’s trading insults with Bell or getting into a slapstick fight with Dinklage, she’s always giving 110 percent — even if the script is stuck at 50 percent.

The Boss is streaming on Prime Video.

‘Definitely, Maybe’ (2008)

Ryan Reynolds stars as Will Hayes, a successful advertising executive and father to 10-year-old daughter Maya (Abigail Breslin). In the middle of a divorce, Will is doing his best to raise Maya, who is curious about how her parents first met and fell in love. Will tells her the story, but it’s more complicated than she thinks, with her dad chronicling how he fell in love with not one, not two, but three special women in his life: April (Isla Fisher), Emily (Elizabeth Banks) and Summer (Rachel Weisz). Who did Will end up with? Who is Maya’s mom? And is he still in love with one of the other two women?

Definitely, Maybe is the rare rom-com that’s also a mystery that keeps you guessing. It’s a genuine surprise to figure out which woman is Maya’s mother and Will’s true love. Raynolds is at his most appealing here, and the stacked supporting cast, featuring two Oscar winners, is across-the-board charming.

Definitely, Maybe is streaming on Prime Video.
