Both of those series are among the Watch With Us team’s picks for the three underrated Netflix shows you need to watch in December 2025.
The first series is an ambitious sci-fi story, while the second is a legal drama. Our final pick is a supernatural fantasy.

‘Moonhaven’ (2022)
Moonhaven imagines a future where three generations have grown up on a lunar colony that was devoted to finding a way to heal Earth’s ecological and sociological struggles and ultimately save the planet. But just as the residents of Moonhaven are about to return to Earth in large numbers to implement their plan, one of their own, Chill (Nina Barker-Francis), has been murdered.
Detectives Paul Serno (Dominic Monaghan) and Arlo Noon (Kadeem Hardison) are a bit out of their depth as they look into Chill’s murder and her connection with Bella Sway (Emma McDonald), a pilot from Earth. A lot is riding on a quick resolution for this case, as it has unexpected consequences for the pending reunion between the people of Earth and their first colony on the moon. But it may not be as harmonious as anyone expected, and the secrets that emerge could place the future of humanity in doubt.
