A broken jaw seems to be no problem for Jake Paul.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer, who lost by knockout for the first time in his young boxing career in a highly-anticipated matchup with Anthony Joshua on Friday, December 19, suffered a broken jaw in not one but two places during the match at Kaseya Center in Miami.
Paul is in the hospital for his injuries, but he hasn’t stopped him from continuously posting on social media.
In a video posted via Instagram, Paul, 28, is seen laying in a hospital bed with his brother, Logan, standing next to him.

“Broken jaw guys thanks for all the support I’m ok,” the caption read, with a thumbs up emoji.
He also posted an X-ray of his broken jaw, showing that there were actually two breaks suffered during the knockout punch by Joshua. He also gave a shoutout to his potentially newest opponent, Canelo Alvarez, who he said he is fighting in just over a week and a half.
“Double broken jaw,” Paul wrote in the photo caption. “Give me Canelo in 10 days.”
Paul claimed back in November to have scheduled a fight with Alvarez, but that fight fell through and the two did not face off in the ring.
Right after the match on Friday, Paul posted a video from the ring, showing his broken jaw close up where you can see the side of his mouth bashed in. Despite the horrendous scene, Paul didn’t seem to be worried about the injury.
“It’s fine, right?” he wrote on the video.
He laughed off the break in a separate post, showing a photo of himself with a bloody tongue and a screenshot of Joshua’s right hook onto his jaw with the caption: “Lol xD.”
Friday’s match marked just the second loss of Paul’s boxing career, and despite ending the evening on the tarp, Paul seemed in good spirits after the fight.
“I feel good. That was fun. I love this sport,” he said, per multiple media reports. “I got my ass beat, but that’s what this sport is about.
He continued, “Man, I’ve already won in every single way in life. This sport has helped me in every single way … I think my jaw is broken, by the way.”
Joshua, 32, praised Paul in his post-match interview.
“Jake Paul did really well and he deserves his props. It takes a real man to do that and he deserves respect for trying and trying and trying,” Joshua said. “It takes a real man to do that. We have to give Jake Paul respect.”

Joshua added, “He came up against a real fighter tonight.”
The former two-time unified WBO, IBF, and WBA heavyweight champion came into the bout with a significant size advantage over Paul, standing at a whopping 6-foot-6 and weighs 252 pounds, compared to Paul who’s 6-foot-1, 227 pounds.
Their matchup went six rounds before Joshua’s deciding blow: a right hook that landed flush on Paul’s jaw, sending him to the mat.
Just before the knockout blow, Paul attempted to taunt Joshua by sticking out his tongue. Joshua had the final word after that.
