4 New Prime Video Movies With at Least 90 Percent on Rotten Tomatoes (December 2025)

Amazon Prime Video just added a fantastic slate of new movies to its platform in December, and there is a lot to look forward to watching.

In fact, many of the additions are critically acclaimed classics that any certified cinephile would be a fool to skip out on. Watch With Us has put together a list of those movies and why you should check them out.

All four of these movies have an impressive 90 percent or higher on Rotten Tomatoes, such as the Old Hollywood courtroom drama 12 Angry Men and the English rom-com Four Weddings and a Funeral.

8 Must-Watch Comedy Movies on Prime Video (November 2025)

‘Hoosiers’ (1986)

Rotten Tomatoes score: 92 percent

Former college basketball coach Norma Dale (Gene Hackman) is hired to coach at a high school in a small Indiana town, but when one teacher (Barbara Hershey) persuades the school’s best player to focus on his academics, the team struggles to win. Up against criticism from the community for his behavior and choice of assistant coach (Dennis Hopper), Dale nevertheless tries to push the team to greatness.

While victim to some sports drama cliches, Hoosiers elevates itself with its impeccable filmmaking craft, attention to detail and terrific performances from its core cast — particularly Hackman and Hopper. This classic underdog story bears an unmistakable authenticity that drives it ahead of the pack, marking it among the great sports films of all time.

‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’ (1978)

Rotten Tomatoes score: 93 percent

Health inspector Elizabeth (Brooke Adams) notices her boyfriend has been acting strangely, and her colleague  Matthew Bennell (Donald Sutherland) initially blames it on normal marital issues. However, Matthew and Elizabeth eventually realize that this “marital problem” is being replicated elsewhere on a massive scale, and they discover an alien plot to replace humans with exact copies of themselves.

This second film adaptation of Jack Finney’s 1955 novel The Body Snatchers is a chilling science-fiction film that doubles as a paranoid conspiracy thriller. Often considered one of the greatest films ever made, it deftly explores themes like consumerism and conformity. Great practical effects, an expressive atmosphere and a top-notch script make this ’70s film extremely watchable nearly 50 years on.

‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ (1994)

Rotten Tomatoes score: 92 percent

Terminally single Englishman Charles (Hugh Grant) and his friends just can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to relationships, but when Charles attends a wedding and meets a beautiful American woman named Carrie (Andie MacDowell), he thinks maybe he’s finally found the one. After one passionate night together, Carrie heads back across the pond, Charles assuming it’s never meant to be. But the two one-time lovers continue to cross paths — as if fate is intervening.

Starring the king of the British rom-com, Four Weddings and a Funeral handily cemented Grant as leading man material back in the mid-’90s, while vaunting a smart screenplay that manages to be funny and warm without indulging in mawkish sentimentality. It was nominated for a number of Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and was the highest-grossing film in British history at the time.

’12 Angry Men’ (1957)

Rotten Tomatoes score: 100 percent

A jury of twelve ventures behind closed doors to debate the verdict of a murder trial, in which a guilty verdict would mean the death penalty for a teen accused of killing his abusive father. As the men struggle to reach a unanimous decision while holed up in the room, one juror (Henry Fonda) casts reasonable doubt on certain aspects of the case. As personal conflicts arise, the men find themselves putting into question their own moral character.

14 Must-Watch Action Movies on Prime Video Right Now (December 2025)

A critique of McCarthy-era America, this single-setting drama is taut, absorbing and undoubtedly claustrophobic, directed with verve by Sidney Lumet in his feature debut. 12 Angry Men is not only a sharp character drama, it is also a thought-provoking exploration of the American justice system that continues to feel relevant today.
