Taylor Swift wore a winter glam look — with a nod to one of her songs — while making an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
Swift, 35, stunned in a $1,976 David Koma dress during a Wednesday, December 10, episode of Colbert’s late-night show. The velvet wine red mini dress featured a dramatic strapless neckline with structured points that protruded from her arms, as well as a fitted bodice and A-line mini skirt.
The singer made her look even more stunning with an $80,000 Michael Saidian necklace equipped with diamonds and rubies. Swift gave a subtle and stylish nod to one of her hits from The Life of a Showgirl, “Opalite,” with an opal bracelet set in a gold bezel by Nikki McVean at Danes Road Antique. She further accessorized with gold rings, stud earrings and $940 Aquazzura heels complete with a pointed toe and cutout straps.
Swift made sure that her makeup perfectly tied her ensemble together. She donned dewy foundation, bronzed and rosy cheeks, winged eyeliner, long lashes and, of course, her signature red lip. She twisted her blonde, highlighted hair into an elegant updo and wore her bangs blown out over her forehead.

Fans gushed over Swift’s look via social media.
“The Opalite bracelet 🥹😍,” one wrote. Another added, “Omg omg omg tay ❤️ QUEEN. OPAL ERA :”) 🌈✨️✨️.” A third praised, “She really does look like she’s wrapped in a big bow. Love that for her. She is our gift 🎁.”

In “Opalite,” Swift sings about finding love and happiness with her fiancé Travis Kelce after past heartbreaks. She explained to U.K.’s Capital FM radio station that the rock, which is also Kelce’s birthstone, is “man-made.”
“I thought it was kind of a cool metaphor that, like, it’s a man-made opal and happiness can also be man-made, too,” she said. “That’s what the song is about, the juxtaposition of those two.”

While chatting with Colbert, 61, Swift promoted her upcoming Eras Tour docuseries, The End of an Era, which is set to premiere on Disney+ on Friday, December 12. Colbert also asked the singer where she plans to go with her career.
“I think what I look up to the most in people is career longevity,” she said. “Career longevity, friendship longevity, longevity in their relationships — you know, how do you keep a good thing going?”

She added, “I think there are certain corners of our society that really love that and look up to longevity. There’s also corners that are like, ‘Give someone else a turn! Can’t you just go away so we can talk about how good you were?’ And I’m like, I don’t want to.”
She also shared that she looks up to musical artists like Stevie Nicks. “[She] affects me positively, constantly,” Swift gushed.
Swift then recalled getting to talk to Nicks, 77, on the phone. “She paved the way for me and any other artist to get to do this on this level, so I feel very lucky that [she] has lended her very, like, magical, wonderful, wise approach to life to me,” Swift shared.
