Two seasons into Owning Manhattan, Chloe Tucker Caine is getting used to documenting the ups and downs in both her personal and professional life — but there’s certain details she still wishes got more context on screen.
During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Chloe reflected on the drama that unfolded in season 1 — and how that affected her going into season 2, which is streaming now.
“I don’t think our show is really willing to break that fourth wall as much as other reality shows. Maybe eventually they will but a lot of the drama between [me and [Jade Shenker] was going back to her divorce. For me, the real fight was how I was like, ‘Did this actually happen?’” she shared about how Jade navigated her marriage coming to an end after infidelity on her husband’s end. “I was like, ‘Are you making up a story for the camera?’ The entire cast — including myself — we didn’t know if it was true or not, which is where a lot of those fights came from.”
In some cases, Chloe only knows as much as the audience.

“In that situation, she really was cheated on. It really did happen and that’s something I’ve had to really process and deal with,” she noted. “The way I treated her was awful but it gets tricky in the first season of a show.”
Owning Manhattan, which premiered in June 2024, follows Ryan Serhant and the agents at his real estate firm SERHANT as they tackle New York City’s most expensive listings in their pursuit of becoming the No. 1 firm in the city. The first season starred Chloe, Nile Lundgren, Tricia Lee, Jade, Jessica Markowski, Jessica Taylor, Jordan Hurt, Jonathan Nørmølle, Jordan March, Savannah Gowarty and Jeffrey St. Arromand.

“There are some of us who I’ve gotten very close to but there’s definitely a few people that like to sit on things to get things on camera. But to be honest, that’s the gig,” she added. “That’s the job is to wait until there’s cameras on you to tell people the big stuff. Going into this — especially with real friendships before —it’s hard to understand the process. But it’s very conflicting for me. It’s very difficult.”
Season 2 was a whirlwind experience for Chloe.
“[Going into season 2], everything was so different. Because I was coming back into filming six months postpartum and my entire world was turned upside down,” Chloe, who welcomed a daughter with Leon Caine, shared. “I was absolutely terrified to start filming because my priority is my family and my baby and being a good mom. So it was like, ‘How do you navigate that?’ Not only am I going back to work — because I need to make money — but on top of the work, I am now filming a reality show. I also am trying to be the best mom I can to a 6-month-old.”

She continued: “It really took me a second to get my bearings. I give so much credit to new moms around the world because you don’t really understand just how big of a shift it is until you have a baby and it changes you. It turns your entire world upside down. I was terrified.”
For Chloe, becoming a mom has led to her becoming an even better real estate agent.
“It showed me that I am able to handle a lot more all at once. You get very good at compartmentalizing and figuring out how to add things to the schedule and make it all work,” she continued. “Especially when you’re a mom, you have to make it work. You have to find the time, which has now fallen into my business as well. I just find myself continuing to add things to my plate.”
Owning Manhattan is streaming on Netflix.
