BANGOR — Tony C. McKim, president and chief executive officer of First National Bank and its parent company, The First Bancorp, has announced the appointment of Paula Powers as commercial loan portfolio manager and Melissa Strang as assistant vice president, branch manager.
A Maine native, Powers brings extensive financial industry experience to her new role, having previously served as a lead consumer underwriter, branch manager and loan officer at another Maine-based financial institution. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering, spending time outdoors and watching her sons compete in sports.
Strang also grew up in Maine and comes to the bank with a strong background in branch management. She has served on the state board for Junior Achievement and remains active in her community. Outside of the bank, Strang enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and fly fishing with her husband.
