Robyn Brown has remained steadfast in her belief that their plural family could’ve worked things out before husband Kody Brown’s three splits — but having one of her sister wives return to the fold is not an option she has considered.
“How would you react if one of the ex-wives wanted to return?” a producer asks Robyn, 47, in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek at the Sunday, December 7, episode of Sister Wives.
Robyn is visibly taken aback by the question before replying, “Return to the family?” She then lets out a laugh while trying to find the words to respond.
“I mean, like what? Really?” Robyn manages to get out before making a grimacing face.

She confessed, “I would be very surprised. I don’t want to even answer this because I’m just like …”
After mulling over the possibility of Kody’s exes Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Christine Brown potentially returning to their family, Robyn begins to tear up.
“[This is] so making me sad right now,” she confesses. “Because you, like, just open[ed] this little portal of hope and I’m just like, I didn’t even think of that. And now I’m just like, what if? And I’m going down that road.”
‘Sister Wives’ Preview: Kody Asks Robyn to ‘Accept’ Him as a Monogamist
An emotional Robyn tries to shake off the idea, admitting, “I can’t. I can’t. I got to move away from that because I’ll fall apart and I can’t be on this set.”
After a few more minutes, Robyn tells the cameras, “Hope is dangerous sometimes,” hinting that even with her dreams of being a united family, she doesn’t want to think about that hypothetical scenario.
Robyn’s remarks come after her husband, Kody, announced earlier this season on Sister Wives that he was planning an apology tour to see all his ex-wives and — if all goes according to his ideal plan — make peace. (Kody will begin his tour with a visit to North Carolina on Sunday’s episode to see Janelle.)
Sister Wives’ Kody Wonders If His Value to Robyn Was ‘Diminished’ After Splits
As Sister Wives fans know, Kody was married to Meri, 54, Janelle, 56, and Christine, 53, when he began courting Robyn during season 1 of the TLC series, which premiered in 2010.
Robyn spiritually wed Kody that same year, becoming his fourth wife. In 2014, Kody divorced Meri so he could legally marry Robyn and adopt her three children from a prior marriage.
Kody and Meri, who share one child, Leon, 30, remained in a spiritual relationship until January 2023, when they announced in a joint statement that they had parted ways.

Meri was the last of the exes to leave Kody. Christine, who shares six children with Kody, announced her split from the Wyoming native in 2021. Christine has since moved on with David Woolley, whom she married in October 2023.
Janelle, who welcomed six children with Kody during their marriage, confirmed in December 2022 that she and Kody had separated. (Kody and Janelle’s son Garrison died in March 2024 at the age of 25.)
Robyn, who welcomed son Solomon, 14, and daughter Ariella, 9, with Kody, has remained married to him and they are currently living a monogamous life together.
Sister Wives airs on TLC Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
